Clay Nichols

President, Software Development and Marketing

Clay founded Bungalow Software. He's been working with stroke and brain injury survivors since the last millennium (over 3 decades). He often provides 1:1 coaching to stay in touch with what survivors need from speech therapy software.

Clay obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.  He worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and South Central Bell. In the Pacific Northwest, Clay worked for GVNW, Inc./Management, in Portland, OR. where he assisted rural telephone companies with a variety of engineering projects, including cellular, voicemail, and Internet service implementation. More recently, Clay worked for Murphy Software, developer of Viosk (tm), an internet-enabled video-kiosk software product.  Clay also taught software engineering at PCC in Hillsboro, OR.

Dr. Richard KatzRichard Katz  Ph.D., CCC-SLP, ANCDS-BC(A) , ASHA Fellow

Former Chief of Audiology & Speech Pathology Service at the Phoenix VA Health Care Center, Dr. Katz's research and publications focused on developed and assessment of aphasia treatment software. He served on the ASHA Microcomputer Applications Subcommittee for 10 consecutive years, three years as chair, the Primary Investigator on the RR&D aphasia treatment software efficacy study, the Katz & Wertz study, and gave lectures and workshops nationally and internationally on the topic of computerized aphasia treatment. 

Dr. Katz worked with  the Bungalow family in 2012-2013  to help develop our new MoreSpeech.com web app.

Terri B. Nichols

Clinical Specialist and therapist

Terri obtained her M.S. in Speech/Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She received her B.S. in Communication Disorders from Northern Illinois University.

Terri is was a Speech/Language Pathologist at Providence|Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR, where she provided clinical care to those with neurological impairments, voice disorders, dysphagia, and head & neck cancer.

Terri is now a full time mom and full time SLP.
